Ingredients
  

  • 1 can Crushed Tomatoes 28 oz.
  • 1 clove Garlic chopped
  • 1 tbsp bunch Fresh Basil chopped Use Parsley as a substitute
  • Black pepper to your taste
  • 1 teaspoon Romano or Parmesan Cheese Grated fine

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan on medium heat, start with 1 tbl of Olive Oil and chopped garlic until the garlic is aromatic. Be careful not to burn the garlic.
  • Then add the crushed tomatoes.
  • Add freshly chopped basil, black pepper and 1 tsp of grated Romano Cheese.
  • Reduce heat to low and let cook for 30 minutes

Storage

If you’ve made a big batch, like I often do, you can store the extra sauce in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze it for longer-term storage. It’s a fantastic convenience to have on hand for those “food emergencies.”
